  • Transaction Data: Sales records, receipts, invoices, and payment-related information processed through the Service

We process your data under the following bases:

  • Contractual Necessity: To provide digital sales, invoicing, and payment processing services
  • Legitimate Business Interests: To enhance product functionality, detect fraud, and maintain security
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with obligations under Nigerian law (e.g., FIRS reporting, NDPR requirements) and international data protection standards.

We do not sell personal data. However, we may share limited information with:

  • Payment Processors (e.g., Paystack, Apple Pay, and other licensed providers) strictly for payment settlement
  • Regulatory and Tax Authorities when disclosure is required by law (e.g., FIRS, CAC, NDPC, law enforcement)
  • Auditors, Risk Managers, or Legal Advisors for compliance and governance purposes

We do not share responsibility for how third-party providers handle user data once it leaves PAYVIDENCE’s infrastructure. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of third-party processors.

  • NDPR-compliant storage on secured AWS Africa data centers

Despite our measures, no platform is 100% secure, and users acknowledge the risks inherent in digital transactions.

  • Request correction of inaccuracies
  • Request erasure/deletion of your account and data, subject to retention requirements for tax, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance

We may retain transaction data for at least 6 years in line with FIRS record-keeping obligations and global accounting standards.

  1. Limitation of Liability (Data & Tax Compliance)

Payvidence is a technology service provider. We are not liable for:

  • Receipts, invoices, or financial records generated for stolen goods, fraudulent services, or illegal activities
  • Any failure by businesses or individuals to charge, collect, or remit VAT or other statutory taxes on transactions processed through our platform
  • Any misuse of exported data by users or third parties outside our system

The responsibility for legal and tax compliance rests solely with the user.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users will be notified at least 30 days prior to material changes. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
